  • LOCATION: Toronto, Ontario
  • PROJECT VALUE: $170,000
  • PROJECT TYPE: Vapour Mitigation
  • CLIENT: Property Management Firm (Confidential)
  • CONSULTANT: Confidential
  • KEYWORDS: Vapour Mitigation, Environmental Compliant Approval (ECA)

About this Project

The Site required the addressing of indoor air quality in an occupied basement, with VOC impacts.

Remediation Process

The project involved installing plenum boxes to mitigate vapour using negative pressure. Soil vapours were routed up three floors to rooftop mitigation fans, diverting them from inhabitants. An optional carbon filtration vessel, supported by an in-house mobile Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA), was provided for atmospheric release compliance. All operations took place in a limited, occupied space, utilizing minimal machinery.

The Outcome

Disruption to building occupants was reduced, while effectively improving indoor air quality for human health protection.
